Biography

Dr. Gabriel Grisham is a Harvard-trained, Board-Certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon. As a former Lt. Commander in the Unites States Navy, Dr. Grisham completed over 8 years of active-duty military service, establishing himself as a trusted and experienced surgeon.

Dr. Grisham graduated summa cum laude from Vanderbilt University, and he received his DMD from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He completed his surgical residency at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, where he received extensive training in the full scope of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS). Walter Reed, the hospital of choice for US presidents, is the most prominent military medical center in the nation, partnering closely with Johns Hopkins and the University of Maryland. For his distinguished achievement and meritorious service as Chief Resident, Dr. Grisham was awarded the Joint Service Commendation and the Armed Forces Service Medals.

After completing his residency, Dr. Grisham was appointed OMFS Department Head at the US Navy Hospital in Yokosuka, Japan, where he performed wisdom teeth removal, dental implant surgery, and reconstructive jaw surgery for thousands of deployed US Sailors and Marines. He then moved to Rhode Island, where he served as the OMFS Department Chief at the Naval Health Clinic New England. As a surgeon with Brown University, Dr. Grisham also worked extensively in private practice, further honing his expertise in complex zygomatic and pterygoid implant reconstruction.

Dr. Grisham is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS), a Fellow of the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (AAOMS), and a Direct Member of the American Dental Association (ADA).

A lifelong Atlanta Braves fan, Dr. Grisham is a Georgia native who grew up in East Cobb. He loves hiking, traveling, and spending time with his family. He also enjoys mountain climbing and has reached the summits of Mt. Fuji and Mt. Kilimanjaro.  His father practiced as a psychologist in Woodstock, GA, for over 35 years. Dr. Grisham is honored to serve the communities of Woodstock and Acworth, continuing his family tradition into the future.
