Biography
Dr. Meaders was raised in northeast Georgia near Cleveland. After receiving his bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Georgia, he attended the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry in Augusta, where he received his D.M.D. degree. After dental school, he moved to Oklahoma City to attend the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center for his post-doctoral training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. During his residency, Dr. Meaders spent time in Johannesburg, South Africa obtaining additional training in orthognathic surgery at the Carstenhof Clinic and the University of Witswatersrand. Dr. Meaders moved back to Atlanta in 1997 to join our group and practices in the Cumming and John’s Creek offices.
Dr. Meaders is Board Certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and is a Member / Fellow American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Georgia Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, Northwestern District Dental Society, Northern District Dental Society, and the Hinman Dental Society. Dr. Meaders has also published articles in the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, Oral Radiology, the Endodontics Journal, and the Anatomic Record. He also presented research at the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Annual Meeting, Scientific Sessions and Exhibition.
Dr. Meaders is a Fellow of the American Society of Implant & Reconstructive Dentistry (ASIRD). Dr. Meaders’ clinical interests include dental implants, the surgical management of impacted teeth and anesthesia.
Dr. Meaders, his wife and their two daughters reside in Suwanee. They enjoy golfing, traveling, photography, reading, computers, and are avid fans of University of Georgia athletics.
Dr. Meaders practices out of the Cumming office and Johns Creek office in Suwanee.
