Martin Velez, DDS

      Dr. Martin Velez is originally from Texas and graduated from the University of Texas - Health Science Center Houston in 1989. He is also a graduate of New York University/St. Barnabas Hospital, General Practice Residency in New York City. He then went on to receive his oral and maxillofacial surgical training in the United States Army, at Dwight D. Eisenhower Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia.

      Dr. Velez served in the military for fourteen years and was deployed to Saudi Arabia, Bosnia- Herzegovina, and Iraq. He had the privilege to have served and deploy with the 24th Mechanized Infantry Division, 30th Medical Brigade, and the 101st Airborne Division. Most recently, Dr. Velez was Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Ft. Campbell, KY and served as the Deputy Commander of Clinical Services with the 86th Combat Support Hospital while in Kuwait and Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

      Dr. Velez is board certified and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He has practiced recently in Boulder, Colorado. Dr. Velez and wife Kathleen, originally from Atlanta, currently reside with their three children in Alpharetta.
