Barton L. McGhee Jr., DDS

      Born in Knoxville, Tennessee, and grew up in Memphis, Tennessee. He received his B.S. degree at Memphis State University in 1968. He obtained a DDS degree from the University of Tennessee Medical Units in 1971. He received his Graduate Residency Training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from Emory University in 1979.

      Dr. McGhee was assistant professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Tennessee from 1984 to 1988. He continues an interest in professional education.He is a Diplomat, American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Fellow of the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, and the Northwestern District Dental Society.

      Dr. McGhee is a Colonel in the United States Air Force Reserves, and has served 25 years as a military member both on active duty overseas and as a traditional reservist. He currently is the Commander of the 94th Aero Medical Staging Squadron at Dobbins ARB Georgia.

      Dr. McGhee’s professional interests lie in maxillofacial prosthetics surgery, implant reconstruction, and surgical endodontics.

      Dr. McGhee is married and has two sons. He lives and works in the Woodstock/Canton area, and his hobbies are boating, snow and water skiing, and travel.
